So comfortable!! First time I wore them it was for 9 hours straight. After my shift I didn't wanted to take them off. As an athletic trainer I am feeling safe when I am going on ice for hockey game.

Perfect all around winter mountain shoe

Ever since I started running in the Alberta Rockies, I have been looking for a shoe that could stand up to the variable conditions and scree. This has been that shoe for me. This has been my go-to winter trail and mountain shoe since I got my first pair 3 years ago. Whether I am running in snow, ice, dirt scree or rock, this shoe stands up to it all.

Crush that down strava segment in any condition!

Every runner should have the studded Pythos in their quiver regardless of if you live on the West Coast or the colder parts of Canada. These are the best studded trail shoes I've owned. Now on my second pair, I use these all winter and even when it is not snowy or icy. The 16 studs are confidence inspiring on ice/snow (as you would expect) but even make a big difference if its just wet, muddy, or there are slippery roots.

Run on ice like it's dirt!

I love my Icebug Pytho6 BUGrip shoes! This winter has been a real mix of snow (sadly, not that much), ice, frozen dirt and even some soft mud on the trails! Every time I go for a run I think about what shoes to wear and lately, it's been Pytho6 every time. I pick them because I love running quickly on technical trails and great traction is critical. I also like that the Pytho's are close enough to the ground so that they don't feel unstable on rough ground. I think that having a lot of studs (16 on the Pytho6), putting them in the right spot on the sole and having an aggressive tread pattern makes the Pytho a traction champion!. I am on my second pair now and bought them a 1/2 size bigger so that I can fit some nice warm socks in them and have lots of room to wiggle my toes and keep them warm in the snow.
