Great grip on ice

I'd been having issues walking my dog on icy roads and trails with several falls and searched high and low for good ice traction boots and finally stumbled upon these and purchased in 2019. I am impressed with the boot. They are amazing on ice and no falls since I have had them. They are comfortable, easy on and warm as well for our cold Manitoba winters. Just a few issues...just this past year I'm having issues with the zippers as they won't stay up so I've used small clamps to keep them up when I go walking. Because it's been cumbersome to do that (I am a senior) I have purchased another pair ..the ivalo which is a bit higher on the ankle. Hopefully the zippers on these will last longer! My other issue is the circumference at the top of both boots. I have wider calves and they fit snugly which makes it impossible to wear any thicker socks which on really cold days, would be great. It would be nice to have wider calf options for those of us with bigger calves. In the future if wider calf options were available, I would probably buy again. I really do love the boots!

Long Lasting Multi Use Boot

I have owned my Icebugs for 7 winters. I walk almost daily. I initially bought them to walk my children to school, as we are in a hilly area that regularly has icy sidewalks and trails. They quickly became my go-to boot for most activities.

Pros
-comfortable, excellent insole
-fit slightly wide, good to wear a light wool sock inside
-water resistant so excellent for mixed conditions
-easy on and off, with zipper
-great for longer walks because of comfort
-durable and they last a long time

Cons
-Can be a bit short for heavy snow conditions
-Slippery on inside floors
-Will mark your hardwood and leave rust marks if left wet on the floor
