Grippiest shoes on ice

Living in Calgary, we get a lot of freeze/thaw cycles which turn the trails into skating rinks. I've tried many versions of studded shoes, and these are the grippiest. They are also very lightweight and fast. I love wearing them in our local winter cross-country races.

It's true - these are a game changer!

I'm entering my third winter with my Pytho6 and I'm excited to pull these out again. I can run on ice covered roads and trails with these shoes without losing traction or changing my stride. Previously I had to stick to roads during the winter and now I can get into the trails and the crushed gravel "rail trail" through the winter. I have told so many people about these shoes because they are my secret weapon. I have never had such an emotional connection to a pair of shoes before... they have transformed winter running for me.

With gratitude,
Victoria

Can't believe I waited to long to get these!!!!

I waited a very long time before getting myself a pair of Icebugs, I used to have ice spikes you could take on and off your shoes and thought that they were fine. Finally I know what I was missing. I feel so much safer running in the winter, I was always very timid running on snow packed trails but I feel like when I am wearing my Icebugs my stride doesn't change at all. Also these are so much more comfortable and lighter (but still have a good amount of cushioning) than other running shoes I've had (especially when I used to have to use add on spikes). If you're also on the fence like I was you should definitely get these winter running shoes!

I can’t believe I went so long without these!

I have been a runner for 15 years now and living in Alberta means cold, icy Winters. I can’t believe I went so long without picking up a pair of icebugs to run in on the icier days. Im on my second year of wearing them and can say they have been a game changer. My confidence out on the trails has improved and speed work is easier. I wear the Pytho6 for shorter runs and the Newrun for longer runs as they have a bit more cushion

Comfortable, PLUS peace of mind on the ice!

I literally don't know what I did before I owned this pair of studded running shoes. I run most days of the week, usually on trails. With freeze-thaw winters in the East, I ended up having to run roads a lot, I'd get bored and I'd get shin splints. Once I got a pair of these, I can run on the trails no problem just like I do all summer long, and the forest is so magical in winter! These are comfortable with good ground feel, but not too minimal. I also love that my feet stay pretty dry in them.
